Harvey's heavy rainfall isn't over yet - an additional 10-25 inches is expected over the next five days for much of the area. Driving through flood waters creates a wake that could push the flooding into someone's home. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS. STAY SAFE, STAY PUT.
Local, state and federal agencies are working diligently to ensure the safety of our citizens and perform rescue operations for those in need. If you are able to, please flag down rescue boats and personnel in your neighborhood. Our call center is unable to keep up with the amount of calls at this time. Please seek higher ground until rescue crews can reach you. If you are in imminent danger of death, please call 911 or Galveston County at 281-309-5009. To report non-emergencies, such as street flooding or water in your home, call La Marque Police Dispatch at 409-938-9269, option 1.
