The latest issue of the Galveston County Health District (GCHD) monthly newsletter, Pulse of the District, is now available.
Read all about the district’s Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) launch on Nov. 17. GCHD hosted a free family-friendly health fair with about 30 community partners that included information on how living healthy can be fun for the entire family. The district’s HIV/STD Services department last month was awarded the Jim Hilton Service Award at the 2018 Texas HIV/STD Conference. Hilton dedicated more than 45 years of service to the district, leading the HIV/STD program. His dedication, passion and energy is greatly missed.
