La Marque Kids Fish is an initiative of La Marque City Manager Tink Jackson, funded by La Marque City Council’s Youth Fund and sponsored by Serious Tackle, located at Gulfway Plaza in La Marque.
“This event allows us to provide an opportunity for our kids to do something fun and educational with our city employees,” said Jackson. “Where else can a young person fish with a fireman, police officer and a public works employee at the same time? By allowing the kids to keep the rod, reel and tackle, we hope to foster a love of outdoor activities. We want these kids to enjoy fishing with their families throughout the year, any time they want to go.”
