Significant severe weather is possible in our area late evening on Friday, January 10, 2020, due to a fast-moving storm. The system has the potential to produce straight-line wind damage, hail and tornadoes. In preparation, please secure outdoor furniture, trash cans and loose items. Keep vehicles under cover, if possible. Wind gusts could reach up to 75 mph. Rainfall threat is secondary, with 1 to 2 inches expected in our region.

La Marque Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor the system and provide information as it becomes available. City crews are on standby. Follow US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston Texas and local news outlets for timely updates. Stay weather aware, La Marque.
