[ARCHIVED] New, life-saving La Marque Fire Department equipment now in-service on our ambulances.

LUCAS Chest Compression System provides benefits to cardiac arrest patients. The funding for the new equipment was approved by La Marque City Council.

With a commitment from La Marque City officials, LUCAS Chest Compression Systems were recently purchased to be placed on our ambulances.

LUCAS Chest Compression System provides benefits to cardiac arrest patients by delivering guidelines-consistent, high-quality chest compressions even under challenging conditions and for extended periods of time. This equipment will allow our personnel to continue providing high-quality care to their patients.

Today, crews received training on this life-saving equipment. They have been assigned to units and are now in-service.

“These devices will have an immediate impact in the care we provide to those experiencing cardiac arrest," said EMS Administrator Barbara Gonzales.
