Results of the November 2020 City Council General Election

Casey McAuliffe has been re-elected for
Councilmember in District “D” for another three-year term.
There is a Runoff Election scheduled for Councilmember for District “B” between candidates Laura Divine and Joe Compian.
By charter, City of La Marque elections are by “majority” vote. Sinceno candidate received a majority of all votes, a Runoff Election is needed between
the two candidates with the highest number of votes in District “B”.IT IS, THEREFORE, HEREBY DECLARED that a Runoff Election will be held on
December 15, 2020, as per order and Notice of Election, for the election of aCouncilmember for District “B”.
