Applications for a place on the City of La Marque General Election Ballot will be accepted through February 12, 2021. The positions of MAYOR, COUNCIL DISTRICT "A" and COUNCIL DISTRICT "C" are up for election.

Qualifications for applicants include:
be a qualified voter in the territory in which he/she is seeking election
hold no other public office
be a resident of the City of La Marque for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the election
be at least (18) eighteen years of age on the date of appointment to his or her seat
City of La Marque General Election Ballot packets will be accepted during the following dates and times:
January 13, 2021, to February 12, 2021
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m Monday through Thursday
7:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, January 15, 22, 29, and February 5
7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12

Register to vote! Applications must be received by the Voter's Registrar's office on or before April 1, 2021, in order to vote in this election. For information for obtaining a Voter's Registration Card, please contact the Galveston County Tax Assessor/Collector, who serves as Voter Registrar for Galveston County.
Polling locations will be posted after the filing period and it is known which entities will be having a May 1, 2021 election.
