Runoff Election Reminder June 14, 2021
Since no candidate received a majority of votes in District A during the May 2021 General Election, a Runoff Election between Kimberley N. Yancy and Wayne Hobgood was scheduled. All citizens living is District A are eligible to vote in this election.
Early voting began last week and continues today, Monday, June 14, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. The polling location is La Marque Community Room, 1109B Bayou Road next to City Hall.
Election Day is Saturday, June 19, 2021, and the polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Congratulations to all our new members of City Council! On May 11, 2021, La Marque City Council held a Special Meeting declaring the May 1, 2021, General Election results. Keith Bell was elected to serve as Mayor, and Michael Carlson was elected to serve as Councilmember for District C.

Since no candidate received a majority of votes in District A, a Runoff Election between Kimberley N. Yancy and Wayne Hobgood was scheduled for June 19, 2021.
Early voting begins on Monday, June 7, 2021, through Friday, June 11, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Early voting resumes on Monday, June 14, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, a Swearing-In of Elected Officials Event happened at La Marque High School Gymnasium. In addition to Mayor Bell and Councilman Carlson, Mayor Pro Tem Joe Compian participated in the swearing-in ceremony because he was elected during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and hadn't received a proper welcome until last week.
