Since Monday, September 27, 2021, Baldwin Tree Services has collected more than 160 tons of storm debris left in the wake of Hurricane Nicholas. Three grapple trucks are going street by street, making a one-time pass of every roadway in La Marque to pick up downed trees, limbs and vegetation. The contractors are on schedule to complete debris pickup by Friday, October 8, 2021. Thank you for your patience as the cleanup process continues.

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 27,2021, Baldwin Tree Services will begin clearing storm debris left in the wake of Hurricane Nicholas. Thanks to La Marque City Council allocating emergency funds, three grapple trucks will go street by street and make a one-time pass of every roadway in La Marque. There is no extra cost to citizens for this storm debris pickup. Citizens are encouraged to get any downed trees, limbs and vegetation to the side of roadway by Sunday evening.
This debris clearing is for vegetation only, such as trees, limbs and branches. No construction materials, fences or household items will be picked up by  Baldwin Tree Services grapple trucks. No mixed piles will be collected. 
There is no specific timeline available, other than the contractor will begin on Monday, September 27, 2021, and they have been contracted for two weeks. 
La Marque Code Enforcement documented more than 150 large piles of debris across our city. Please be patient as the cleanup process proceeds. If you have questions, please contact La Marque Code Compliance Division at 409-938-9256. 
Waste Management is running on the normal bulk trash pickup schedule. Bulk collection will be at the curb, once-a-week, with a limit of five cubic yards. Additional collection of bulk waste exceeding five cubic yards can be scheduled 24-hours prior to your bulk collection day for a fee. To schedule collection of additional bulk waste, please call Waste Management 800-800-5804. 
Keep La Marque Beautiful Commission has scheduled the annual Fall Sweep for November 6, 2021. Citizens of La Marque can drop off bulk trash, tires and shredding for free from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m at La Marque City Hall.
