MESSAGE FROM MAYOR

Mayor Keith Bell reiterates and acknowledges again condolences to the Brown family on behalf of the City of La Marque. "Clent's legacy will live on in our city and his memory in our hearts"

Clent Brown had a successful nine-year tenure on the Building and Standards Committee for the City of La Marque. He was elected to City Council representing District D in 2011 at the age of 80. He was well known for his integrity and worked tirelessly to serve the residents of La Marque. During this he championed many accomplishments: He led the charge to execute the retention of local businesses, was instrumental in the passage of the Westside Fire Station, and assisted in identifying properties for demolition as part of the cities with various corporations and citizens. He created the Shine on La Marque program that has been adapted into Keep La Marque Beautiful.
