Water levels are returning to normal and City officials are confident the water quality is satisfactory. Public Services crews will continue monitoring and testing in the impacted area, which is west of Interstate 45, between 1764 and 1765, from Saltgrass Crossing to Prairie Knoll. Per Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) guidelines, the affected portions of the City (PWS# TX0840006) should stay under a boil water notice and continue to boil water to drink, cook, or make ice. The Boil Notice is expected to be rescinded Thursday.
If any bad smell and/or discoloration remains, citizens are encouraged to flush the lines at home by running the bathtub faucet for five minutes. Please notify the City if no improvement is noticed.
