[ARCHIVED] La Marque Police Department Cracking Down on Crime

La Marque Police Department has re-engaged a task force with specialized tactical training to combat crime and run out riffraff from our city limits. Citizens should expect directed enforcement and zero tolerance.

LA MARQUE, TEXAS (June 15, 2017) -- La Marque Police Department has re-engaged a task force with specialized tactical training to combat crime and run out riffraff from our city limits. A directed enforcement approach has been employed and area residents should expect zero tolerance.

Directed enforcement means that, on top of the officers’ general duties, special attention is focused on pushing drugs and violence out of La Marque. This approach is being supported by cooperation from local, state and federal law enforcement communities.

The City of La Marque and La Marque Police Department are here for our citizens. A new patrol officer was added to the force on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, which is the first of five police positions to be filled in 2017. Please follow the LMPD on Facebook for updates and progress of these directed law enforcement efforts.
