Recent infrastructure updates resulted in combination of energy savings and rebates
La Marque, Texas, December 12, 2017
— At the December 11, 2017, La Marque City Council Regular Meeting, Siemens and Texas New Mexico Power (TNMP) presented City of La Marque with a check for $27,668.04.

The City contracted Siemens Industry, Inc. for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Capital Improvement Project in 2016. Significant progress was made in 2017, including the addition of a fine bubble aerator system. Monday night’s monetary presentation is a direct result of energy savings stemming from these infrastructure updates, along with TNMP rebates for these specific types of energy savings. Siemens engineers worked alongside TNMP staff to get the necessary paperwork submitted by deadline and they jointly presented the check to Mayor Bobby Hocking.
“Tonight, we are honored to have a presentation from Texas New Mexico Power company and Siemens,” said Mayor Hocking.
