Message from City of La Marque Emergency Management: There is a flash flood watch from noon today through noon Saturday, December 8. Stay weather aware and monitor road conditions. Heavy rainfall is expected overnight and early Saturday morning. La Marque is expected to have rain totals up to 5 inches with isolated totals of 8-10 inches possible. Please help keep drains clear of leaves and other debris. Bring your trashcans in to ensure they do not fall and block the drainage system. Please do not park on the road as some street flooding could occur. Do not drive on flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown. If your neighborhood is prone to flooding keep, keep an eye on the storm and be prepared. Monitor your local news or weather channel to stay informed of possible weather alerts and changes.
