What is it? Hosted by Keep Texas Beautiful and the Texas Department of Transportation, the 2019 Don’t mess with Texas® K-12 Art Contest invites Texas students in kindergarten through twelfth grade to submit their best litter prevention-inspired artwork to be considered for the 2020 Don’t mess with Texas Calendar. The purpose of the Contest is to inspire our future leaders to refrain from littering, advocate for litter prevention, and keep Texas beautiful. Students with the top 13 designs will have their work featured in the calendar. One winner will be selected from each grade. The contest opened January 14. All submissions must be postmarked by April 18.
Who can compete in the contest? Students in grades K-12.
What are the rules? Contest rules, eligibility and design rules can be found at ktb.org/artcontest.
What are the prizes? Thirteen winners will be selected and featured on the 2020 Don’t mess with Texas Calendar. He or she will win a $100 Visa gift card donated by KTB. Teachers representing students who produce the 13 winning designs will each win a $100 H-E-B/Central Market gift card.
