La Marque Public Library Offers Youth Summer Programs, Kidz Pacz Pickup

Kidz Pacz and Summer Fun at La Marque Public Library

For the third consecutive year, La Marque Public Library has partnered with Galveston County Food Bank to offer a Kidz Pacz pickup location at 1011 Bayou Road in La Marque during the School’s Out Hunger’s Not campaign. Program volunteers will deliver free packs of kid friendly, ready to eat food each week during the summer months. The program is intended to bridge the gap for youth who rely on breakfast and lunch meals during the school year.

According to Amy Miller, La Marque Public Library Director, the food bank partnership makes sense because library staff is already hosting events and programs for youth during the summer.

“Summer is our busiest time of year at the library,” Miller said. “We hope having a Kidz Pacz pickup location here makes life easier for parents and caregivers.”

Pre-registration is required but the program is free and available to youth between the ages of 3 and 18. Visit www.glavestoncountyfoodbank.org to register or call La Marque Public Library at 409-938-9270 for information.
