American Legion Riders hosting Motorcycle Run to Ronald McDonald House from Kat’s Place in La Marque on December 7, 2019. Riders, citizens and friends are invited to join.
On Saturday, December 7, 2019, the American Legion Riders, Post 89, Texas City, will host a police-escorted motorcycle run from Kat’s Place in La Marque to the Ronald McDonald House in Galveston.
The annual motorcycle run benefits Ronald McDonald House with a monetary donation, as well as toy and non-perishable food donations.
According to Mike Buckley, American Legon Post 98 Rider, all motorcycle clubs and riders from the Galveston County Area are invited to participate in leading the trailer containing toys, food and clothing down I-45 to Galveston.
“Last year, we had 100 riders and donated $10,000,” said Buckley. “This year we hope to donate $15,000. Everyone is welcome to ride with us.”
The run will originate at Kat’s Place, 1219 Walnut Street in La Marque. Staging time is 9:30 a.m., followed by group photos and kickstands up at 11:00 a.m.
Riders, citizens and friends are invited to bring a child's toy, box of cereal, pack of noodles, bag of rice, box of cake mix, box of microwave popcorn, pair of socks, or any of the other items on the Ronald McDonald House Wish List. Visit www.rmhg.org for the complete list.
