[ARCHIVED] Practice Social Distancing at La Marque Parks

Social Distancing Signs_

If you decide to enjoy one of our city parks, practice social distancing and follow CDC guidelines. Wear masks if you have them. Keep groups as small as possible, but no larger than 10. Sanitize and take extra care not to leave trash. Be safe, La Marque.

There’s a new sign in town! Beginning today, Friday, April 10, 2020, these Social Distancing signs will be installed at all La Marque city parks.

La Marque is under stay at home orders and city officials encourage all citizens to stay home to stop the spread of COVID-19. That being said, we understand folks need to get some fresh air and find constructive, family-friendly activities.

La Marque’s parks are open. Mac McGaffey Highland Bayou Park gates are unlocked around 7:00 a.m. and they are locked at dusk every day.

If you decide to enjoy one of our city parks, practice social distancing and follow CDC guidelines. Wear masks if you have them. Keep groups as small as possible, but no larger than 10 people. Sanitize and take extra care not to leave trash for others to pick up.

La Marque Police Department will be patrolling this weekend to make sure people are not violating the orders for gatherings and are maintaining appropriate social distancing.

Be safe and stay well, La Marque!
