Chapter 44, Section 44-14, Noises as Public Nuisances, has been amended effective August 11, 2016.
Section 44-14 now includes a provision for a "Special Event Permit" that may be issued for events at which music or voice amplification equipment is used.
Permit applications for the use of outdoor sound amplification equipment for a special event may be obtained by contacting the Office of the Chief of Police, 431 Bayou Road, or by telephone 409.938.9223.
