TxDOT contractors working on the I-45 expansion project broke a water main at FM 2004 in La Marque this evening, causing low water pressure for citizens and businesses across the city.
La Marque Public Works crews are on-site and assessing the damage. Crews with specialized equipment are en route. We anticipate the repairs will take several hours, and we'll post updates as soon as they become available. We understand our citizens are frustrated. City officials are frustrated, too.
City leadership will continue to advocate for the people of La Marque and work with TxDOT to reduce and eliminate the continued water line breaks.

For after-hours utility emergencies, report to La Marque Police Department Dispatch at 409-938-9269. Citizens are also encouraged to use our online reporting system by visiting concern.cityoflamarque.org. We are aware of this issue, so there is no need to report it at this time.
