Posted on: May 7, 2021[ARCHIVED] Weekend Traffic Expected Due to I-45 Lane Closures
Several closures related to the I-45 expansion could cause traffic in our area this weekend. Please register for Houston TranStar alerts or download the app to stay current on construction and closures.
THIS WEEKEND
TxDOT crews are working southbound from HUGHES to FM-1764/Emmett F Lowry Expwy in Texas City. One outside lane will be closed continuously from 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 7, to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021. All traffic must follow the southbound frontage road through the FM 1764 interchange and enter the southbound mainlane entrance ramp.
A total closure is planned for the southbound Exit Ramp to HOLLAND from 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 7 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021. All traffic must exit FM 646 and travel along the frontage road through the FM 517 interchange to Holland Road.
Additionally, northbound from FM-1765/TEXAS AVE to Delany Road in La Marque will be closed continuously from 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 7 to 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 14.
