Please join the City of La Marque in welcoming our summer interns and congratulating them on their first day of work!

La Marque City Council funded ten internships with a $10 hourly wage for six weeks, from June 14 to July 23, 2021. The jobs are 40 hours per week, and the interns will spend time in all city departments and see how municipal government functions. 

If you see these young people around the city this summer, say hello. These kids are our future!

La Marque City Council funded ten internships with a $10 hourly wage for six weeks, from June 14 to July 23, 2021. Applications are due June 7, 2021. The jobs are 40 hours per week, and the hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Applicants must live in the City of La Marque and must be between 16 and 19 years of age with dependable transportation. Apply on the city website at Departments>Human Resources>Positions Available. 

La Marque City Manager Tink Jackson encourages high school students and recent graduates to apply. 

"Our goal is to expose La Marque youth to city government and show our young people what kind of opportunities are available here in their hometown," said La Marque City Manager Tink Jackson. "Come build your career with the City of La Marque."

Positions are available in City Administration, Fire Department, Library, Police Department, Public Works. The interns will spend time in all city departments and see how municipal government functions. Applicants will spend time working on departmental projects, networking, and fulfilling tasks set out by the supervisor.
