Contractors working on the I-45 expansion project broken a water main around Main Street and IH-45 in La Marque. La Marque Public Works staff are out on site working on repairing the water main now. Low water pressure is to be expected.
Update: 12-15-2021 - Water Main was broken by AT&T contractors boring under the road Not TXDot. City of La Marque has issued a Boil Water Notice as of 12-15-2021 for those who have low or no water pressure at your home or business.
Original Post 12-14-2021: Contractors working on the I-45 expansion project broken a water main around Main Street and IH-45 in La Marque. La Marque Public Works staff are out on site working on repairing the water main now. Low water pressure is to be expected in the area until repairs have been completed.
We understand our citizens are frustrated. We ask for patience as we work as quickly as possible to restore water service. We are aware of this issue, so there is no need to report it at this time.
